Ancillary Funds 2020-2021: ACPNS Current Issues Information Sheet
This report is highly anticipated in our office as we appreciate the time and effort put into analysing the date provided to Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies (ACPNS) by the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC) and the Australian Tax Office (ATO). From the report it states: in total, as at 30 June 2021, there were 3,318 ancillary funds, with combined net assets of $16.39 billion. They received $2.35 billion in donations in the 2020–21 year and distributed $1.14 billion in grants.

Helping philanthropic funders to understand impact (New Zealand research)
Last year, Foundation North commissioned the Centre for Social Impact (CSI) to gain a better understanding of what impact means to the foundation as well as to the funders it provides services to. We often see reports and advice around measurement and impact for charities and how to report on them, but not for funders.
