With restrictions easing across the country and many of us setting our sights on travel in the not-too-distant future, there is also great news for those for-purpose sectors that promote the arts, tourism and entertainment.
Excitingly, we’re seeing an increase in the amount of grant funding available to boost arts, tourism and events. Funders are keen to reboot or relaunch events that have been put on hold due to the pandemic, and fund new events that will increase visitors to regional areas and boost tourism.
There is even grant funding available to support professional development and support touring in the arts sector.
Here are a few of our favourite upcoming arts boosting grants, as identified by our Grants Expertise Management System (GEMS).
New South Wales Performing Arts relaunch package
The New South Wales (NSW) Performing Arts COVID Support package has been extended to relaunch the performing arts sector in line with the NSW Government roadmap to recovery.

Local councils are also boosting the industry by encouraging local events through one-off grants for event funding to boost, so be sure to check your local council’s website for details specific to your area.
Remember to adhere to the funder guidelines
If you’re applying for an upcoming grant opportunity, make sure you read the funder guidelines and eligibility criteria carefully! We also highly recommend reaching out to the funder first, if possible – developing funder relationships goes a long way!
Good luck, and if you need support with your grant-seeking strategy we’d love to hear from you! You can also check out more of our top grant writing tips on our blog.
